Student Government
Once a month SBS has a Jesus Jean’s Day. Students donate $1 to wear jeans. All money donated is given to a charity chosen by Student Council. October’s Jean’s Day donations supported St. Rose Catholic School and September’s Jean’s Day was donated to relief efforts for Hurricane Harvey victims.
Grade Level Service Projects
Each grade participates in special service projects throughout the year. Some grade level examples are:
5th graders supported Operation Christmas Child. Over 60 shoeboxes were filled for needy children throughout the world (2-14 yrs). Items included were stuffed animals, school supplies, and hygiene items. The students also included a letter expressing God's love for them.
1st Graders started a book collection through Scholastic All for Books during our recent Book Fair. Money raised for books went to St. Rose Catholic School in Northern California. St. Rose’s school suffered damage due to the wild fires. Scholastic also matched SBS contribution.

For more information you may e-mail our Alter Server Coordinator, Denise Cook at denise@enableit.com

Life-a-thon
For nearly 30 years, St. Bonaventure has held an annual Life-a-thon to raise money for the non-profit Orange County Life Center. With money donated by communities like our's, the Life Center provides life-affirming services to women with problem pregnancies. There are many ways to become involved with our Life-a-thon. We need runners, walkers and bike riders to participate in the event. In addition, we need volunteers to help make our Life-a-thon a safe and successful event. For more information about St. Bonaventure's Life-a-thon, please call Joe Sullivan at (714) 842-9707. For more information about the Life Center of Orange County, please call (714) 835-LIFE.
