St. Bonaventure School’s low tuition assumes all families enrolled in the Traditional In-Person Learning Model will serve 40 service hours per year, in addition to the annual yard supervision (Safety Program) requirement. These requirements are considered part of the cost of tuition for each student. Families may choose to pay the higher cost of tuition instead of fulfilling the 40 hour service requirement. The additional tuition, for opting out of service, is $600 per family ($15 per hour) and is not tax deductible. Payment is due in full no later than the day of registration. Service hours are credited to the school year in which they are performed (July 1 through June 30). Please log into FACTS to find opportunities where you can volunteer. Make sure to log in your service hours. Any service hours not logged at the end of the year will be billed at $20.00/hour. Fulfilling service and safety hours provides families the opportunity to receive a discounted tuition rate.
The Safety/Yard Supervision Program has been implemented to provide supervision of the parking lot and play areas during Nutrition Break and Lunch Periods. Tuition requirement includes a Safety/Yard Duty Supervision component that must be served or paid for. The Tuition Safety Fee is $500 per family enrolled in the Traditional In-Person Learning Model, per year. Families that fulfill the safety/yard supervision requirement do not owe the additional $500 tuition cost. The Safety Tuition Cost must be paid no later than the day of registration and is not tax deductible. Families who sign up to serve as safety/yard supervisors are responsible for finding their own substitute. Families who do not appear for their scheduled yard supervision time and date and do not arrange for a substitute will be charged a $50.00 no show fine. Keeping the children safe is the priority of the Safety/Yard Supervision program. Service and Safety tuition funds collected are used to hire staff who fulfill the hours that families cannot. Safety supervision volunteers must sign in and wear the orange vest. Please return orange vest after each yard duty service.
Please log into your FACTS Family Portal and look under Announcements to sign up for recess, lunch, and dismissal yard duty shifts.
State law and Diocesan policy require that all volunteers who have contact with children must be fingerprinted and complete Safe Environment Certification online prior to volunteering. Please click here for more information.
