Priority of Admission
As a ministry serving St. Bonaventure Catholic Parish, the Admissions Committee at St. Bonaventure School prioritizes extending the opportunity of our tradition of intellectual and moral excellence to children of active, registered parishioners in our community. All candidates must meet our admissions criteria and no candidate is guaranteed admission into the School. The Admissions Committee determines priority in the admissions process based on the following criteria:
Student Readiness
Each child must meet social, emotional, behavioral, and academic readiness standards before other criteria are considered.
Parish Participation
Roman Catholic children are given priority whose parents/guardians:
Are registered members of St. Bonaventure Parish
Support St. Bonaventure Church by regular use of Sunday envelopes (evaluation based on a consistent pattern of Sunday Mass attendance, not the dollar amount of financial contribution)
Actively participate in parish activities
Enrollment of Siblings
Children who have a sibling enrolled in St. Bonaventure School are given priority over those who do not.
Children from Other Parishes
A letter of recommendation from a pastor regarding parish participation is required for:
Catholic students transferring from another Catholic school
Catholic children/students from a local parish that does not have a school
Catholic children/students transferring from a public school
